Using VersaTile’s Action Menu ___________________ Accessing the Action Menu Command-Click on any palette tile to access VersaTile’s Action Menu (hold down the Command "⌘" key while pressing the mouse button ).   _____________ VersaTile Pro's popup Action Menu The Action Menu performs all functions that are unique to the selected tile. __________________ Action Menu Commands Add Item to Tile... / Replace Tile Item... Use this command to add an item to the selected tile. If the tile already contains an item, this command will replace the existing item with a new one. Selecting this menu item will cause the Finder’s Directory dialog box to appear. Use the dialog box to select the desired folder, file, application, disk, etc. See “Using the Drag Manager” for alternative methods for adding items to the palette. Cut Tile Item Use this command to cut the tile’s icon from the palette. The icon can then be pasted onto another tile using the “Paste Tile Item” command. You can also perform this action by "x-clicking" on the palette tile. See “Using the Drag Manager” for alternative methods for moving items between palettes. Copy Tile Item Use this command to copy the tile’s icon from the palette. The icon can then be pasted onto another tile using the “Paste Tile Item” command. You can also perform this action by "c-clicking" on the palette tile. See “Using the Drag Manager” for alternative methods for moving items between palettes. Paste Tile Item Use this command to paste a previously cut or copied tile onto the selected tile. You can also perform this action by "v-clicking" on the palette tile. See “Using the Drag Manager” for alternative methods for moving items between palettes. Clear Tile Item Use this command to remove an item from the tile. You can also "delete-click" on this tile to perform this action. Get Item Info Use this command to bring up the tile item's Get Info window. This is the equivalent of selecting the item in the Finder and choosing "Get Info" from the Finder's File menu. "i-clicking" on items is handy for increasing memory allocations for applications, checking modification dates, pasting in custom icons, and editing comments. Make Item Alias Use this command to make an alias of the tile item. This is the equivalent of selecting the item in the Finder and choosing "Make Alias" from the Finder's File menu. Holding down the "m" key while clicking on a tile will create an alias that item on the desktop. Find Item Use this command to find a tile's item. When VersaTile finds the item, it opens and displays the contents of the Finder folder that contains the item and highlights the item. Holding down the "f" key while clicking on a tile will also find the item in the desktop folders. Duplicate Item Use this command to create a duplicate of the item on the desktop. This is the equivalent of selecting the item in the Finder and choosing "Duplicate" from the Finder's File menu. Holding down the "d" key while clicking on a tile will create a duplicate of that item on the desktop. Print Item Use this command to print that item if the item is a document and can be printed. This is the equivalent of selecting the item in the Finder and choosing "Print" from the Finder's File menu. Holding down the "p" key while clicking on a tile will print that item if the item is a document and can be printed. ___________________________ Using the Active Application Palette's Action Menu The VersaTile Pro's Active Application Palette has it's own Action Menu which is slightly different from a regular palette's Action Menu.   _____________ VersaTile Pro's Active Application Palette's popup Action Menu ___________________ Active Application Palette's Action Menu Commands Quit Application Use this command to quit the application whose icon appears on the tile. You can also "q-click" on the tile to perform the same action. Other commands are the same as the regular palette's Action Menu listed above.
